This is where this card is going.... all the way to Wales and it started it's journey with one of my BF's today. A couple of weeks ago my friend came over for an evening and we went to play in the scrap room. She is not an active scrap booker but definitely could be. She has good ideas and is fast thinking (I wish I wish I was) so she told me what she wanted and I put it together right from picking the papers out of my stash to the embellishments used. A great team effort and we were both pleased with the outcome.
Papers are Kaiser Magnolia Collection.
For the names I used an techique I used to use when I first started scrap booking in 2005. Printing the names onto velum and gold embossing them when the ink was still wet. For the flourish it is painted with Tim Holtz crackle paint and sprayed with pearl mist.
The insides
and a lovely verse she chose.
I hope your weekend is going well. We could have done with seeing the sun today - a nor-west arch stopped that for the day. Hopefully some scrappy time will eventuate tonight or at least some photographing of my creations from last weekend.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Until next time.....
