Currently over at Big Picture Scrapbooking they are holding a Big Idea Festival. I joined up (it is FREE by the way) and while it was a long shot to be able to keep up with a project a day (which I can't) I thought there would be some good ideas. The first one was all about Making someone's day and writing letters. It is so nice to get a personal letter. I used to write lots of letters (way back) as I had two pen friends and my grandparents living far away. I treasure the letters they sent me in return and still have them all.
I recently received a lovely letter after sending an exploding box as a belated gift to an Aunt. I will treasure that letter and also plan to use it as hidden journaling on a page of my Aunt's special celebration. The exploding box was a kit created by Robbi Bell. I thoroughly enjoyed creating it.
A snapshot of some contents follow.
It is so nice to do something for someone who really appreciates it.
Back to Big Picture's Big Idea Festival..... I made this little set of cards for a friend for her birthday and she can then also 'make someone's day' by giving them to someone else.
and tucked in was a little Gift Voucher available at "Embellish It".
I made the little box with my new Martha Stewart scoring pad. I think this will be very useful for envelopes and boxes.
and included are 6 mini cards based on my 'add on' to the recent Heritage class I taught at Raincliff. A great way of using up the little bits left over from other projects.
My friend was very pleased with her present and I hope the recipients of her cards will be happy to. I challenge you to "make someone's day' with a letter or a card.
At Big Picture it is up to Day 5 already - the days are flying by but today's challenge is to scrap something that makes you happy. Will have to see if I have time. I am enjoying lots of laughs and cuddles with little Z and have just acquired some gorgeous photos taken by a photographer so have plenty to play with.
I hope your weekend is going well. . Well that is all for today - off to the scrap room while DD and DH watch the rugby. .
Thank you for visiting my blog today. Until next time....
