Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Today I am sharing a little card I will enter the Cute Card Thursday Challenge # 338 "Too Cute".
I made it for my Great Nephew, who too is very cute.
Patterned papers are Prima. Image and sentiment is Lili of the Valley and Grunge board number is Tim Holtz.
and of course finished with come liquid pearls and kindy glitz.
I have to say just for a change it was made in super quick time (not something that usually happens but I may use this design again.)
Thanks again for looking.
Until next time....

Crafting for all Seasons
It has been a while since I blogged. Usually winter provides a great excuse to hold up in the scrap room under the bright light and create. Just now it seems that my mojo is MIA again and Saturday's are recovery days from the previous week of work and cold nights are not encouraging me to warm up the scrap room and create either.
However a few weeks ago I did enjoy creating this 40th Birthday card with the Julie Nutting doll stamp.
I used a Prima tag and Kaisercraft papers, die cuts and tag left over from some time ago. The small tag is removable and has the birthday message on it.
I must apologise for the photo which really needed brightening up a bit to do it justice but I am still not organised in the photo editing department since getting a new computer.
I have entered this in the 'Crafting for all Seasons' challenge with the title "Don't be Square"
Thank you for visiting my blog today - your visit is truly appreciated.
Until next time.....

A Card or Two
Well the weekend came and went and the only creating that took place was a Mother's Day card for my Mum. We had a lovely Mother's Day due to travelling to Oamaru to meet up with our three girls and two grandsons and J from Dunedin, and my Mum and Dad came too so it was a lovely celebration with four generations. The dear little boys were just lovely as usual.
My computer has been a challenge tonight - trying to edit some photos but since I have a new 'Windows 8' computer my faithful photo editing programme 'Ulead' is no longer available to me. Has anyone got any suggestions of user friendly photo editing software. 'Gimp' is downloaded but it is completely foreign. So these photos are unedited.
Anyway here are a couple of cards - the first a 'Thank You' card made for the friend I stayed with recently. Products were mainly Prima. Made at Autumn Escape.
and Mothers day card made with Prima Stationers Desk Collection.

I had made another 'Get Well' card while away but forgot to take a photo of it. My Best Wishes and healing thoughts will be with Aunty J as she undergoes major surgery this week.
That is all for today. Hope your week is going well. Thank you for taking the time to visit today. Would love to know you have been by leaving a comment.
Until next time....

Trina's 3 Layout Class
Thank you for visiting my blog today. How is your week going? April already.
A few weeks ago I attended Trina McClune's class at Artful Crafts. It was lovely to meet Trina again and she did not disappoint with the three lovely layouts she had designed for the class using the beautiful 'Something Blue' Prima papers and embellishments.
I didn't quite get the three finished in the 2 1/2 hours but enjoyed putting the finishing touches on at home. It was also a good opportunity to get some more DD's wedding photos scrapped. Here they are...
Layout #1 -
and some closeups. Love the little resin butterflies.
and the Mr and Mrs buttons - perfect for this page.
And once again love those cute little frames.

Layout #2 - I liked how this one could be this way or as Trina had it with the tags dropping down. It worked well to include the Marriage Celebrant's folder and marriage certificate photo. However another reason for attending the class was to rekindle my mojo and I found I was more out of touch than I thought when I realised I had created the page on the reverse side of the bazzill card (lol) so to add a bit of texture I put on some gel paste with a 'Tim Holtz' mask and added some iridescent paint so the page did not look as flat. Also love that punch at the bottom - unfortunately not one in my collection.
and the Mr and Mrs buttons - perfect for this page.
Layout #3 - And Trina did it again with this lovely design. Those gorgeous doilies Trina gave us were put to extra use with the circle photo at the bottom.
The alpha are painted with iridescent paint to give them the more wedding type flavour.
Thanks Trina for a great class.
Well that is all for today. Until next time.....

Prima BAP March
As mentioned last post I have done a page based on the Prima BAP Sketch for March. I am still coming to grips with the pocket style and since creating this page have seen some amazing inspiration from Scrapbookers including Maiko Kosugi and all the other entries in the Prima Challenge. ... So I have plenty of room to develop in this area.
Here is my take using the Prima 'All Star' papers.
Here is my take using the Prima 'All Star' papers.
I have not used the pre cut Prima Pocket cards as I didn't have any when embarking on the page but have since found they are available at 'Embellish It' so will be keen to have a play with them some time. Other Prima pieces included are Engraver collection chipboard pieces and buttons and the wooden bird and happiness word. The only non prima element is the little wooden star frame and 'Remember' word. Alpha are Prima canvas inked to suit the page.
The sketch....
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.
Until next time....

Beautiful - just the way you are
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I truly appreciate any visitors.
Over the weekend I created two pages - the mojo is slowly returning.
Today's page is from the Scrapfriends (Kreative Koncepts) current challenge #23.
I have used photos of my DGS #2 along with a Dusty Attic word which says it all. My journaling on the back says "Dear little Jake - you were born with a "Port Wine" stain birthmark on your cheek Right from the start you were a little person with character, such a happy placid baby and you are BEAUTIFUL just the way you are - Love Granny"
Here is my take on the sketch
Products used for this layout.
Well must away and get organised for Trina McClune's 3 'n 1 Class at Artful Crafts tomorrow night.
Thanks again for visiting. It would be lovely to know you have been by leaving a comment.
The other page I created is based on this months Prima BAP sketch so I will share that soon.
Until next time......

80th Birthday Celebration
My Dad turned 80 on Sunday and we celebrated at their batch with 50+ family and friends over lunch organised mainly by my Mum (77). It was a huge day but so nice to see them enjoying the company of friends and relations on a happy occasion. Unfortunately I was too busy to get many photos of the day.
So on Saturday night I made my third creation this year being a birthday card for Dad.
Prima "Romance Novel" 6x6 paper pad papers were used to create this layout. I chose them as Dad's trade was as a printer.
I cut little letters of his initials for the number plate. The circle diecut is Manor House.
and the inside is sheets of paper as they were. The birthday boy was also a telegram boy as a teenager. In the little pocket is mini vouchers which were his birthday gift "A Mystery Outing". I also cut out little circle numbers and put the year he was born on a telegram centre left. Our message went on the centre right.
I think the image is 'Lili of the Valley' available at 'Embellish It'. It was on a 6 x 4 card and I trimmed it off and popped it up with foam tape.
I really am hoping to get my mojo back soon and get onto scrapping my dear grandsons again.
Embellish It are having a crop on 22 March. Contact Joanne if you wish to join in. By the way Embellish It now has a Facebook Page.
So until next time..... take care and keep warm if in an area of NZ experiencing this very abrupt end to summer.
Thank you for visiting today.

My 2013 Favourite Creations - Happy New Year
Hello Everyone -
Happy New Year - Wishing you all Health and Happiness for 2014.
It was a very quiet New Year this year apart from the delight and joy of my 2 yr old DGS who is having a holiday at Granny's at the moment. Today I am playing along with 'A Scrapjourney's' 'Five Favourite Creations of 2013" challenge. ... and what a hard one it is too - just to pick five so here we go..... and there could be a few more.
The first one - a Heritage layout - I love creating with old photos and this one just went together so well and I still love it.
Next up - the Scrapbooking highlight of the year was attending Finnibair's class at Rolleston in March. Attending Finnibair's class ticked off one of my 2013 goals - to learn more about and gain confidence in mixed media scrapbooking. I was on a buzz for weeks after this class. This next layout was inspired by what I learned there but with my twist.
Next up - a layout from a sketch at Scrapfriends where this was slightly away from my 'normal' style adding a few textures etc.
October 12 saw the early arrival of my DGS Jake and I loved creating with the Prima Delight collection. Also this layout is a rare case of me scrapping myself.
and No 5 - it is getting harder but I am going to include another in the Prima Delight Collection of my parents meeting Jake.
Well that is five but Debby said a few more could be slipped in so here is my one and only Christmas project and a couple of special cards made throughout the year. - my Dad has been making some shadow box frames for the dimensional projects so this now has one of his frames around it.

and I will finish with an OTP item - Decorate Tili Jar
Thank you Debby from "A Scrapjourney" for the challenge.
Thanks so much for visiting today. Most of my creations are also on my Scrapbook.Com Gallery if you wish to peruse any more.
Over the past 18 months I have designed for 'Embellish It' but have given that away in order to complete some personal projects that have been in the pipeline for some time.
Well that is all for today as I need to get organised for more visitors arriving including my DGS Jake.

My Happy Place - OUAS November
Hello and thanks for stopping by today. 'My Happy Place' and the below sketch are the challenge at Once Upon A Sketch for November and today I managed to put something together. I had been playing with the papers and photo for a few days (think it was because it was a rare occasion - scrapping a pic of myself as there are not many)
I have used mainly the Prima Delight collection and also a Dusty Attic Name Plate.
The photo is of the afternoon Jake came home from hospital at 6 days old. He is now 6 weeks old - how time flies.
I used a word template with texture paste and irridescent medium to add some texture to the base layer. Some Acetate squares were added for extra dimension.
The challenge requires journaling so I included it on a tag behind the name plate. Being able to spend time with to precious grandsons is definitely my 'happy place'. My only regret is that we do not live closer...
Below is the sketch.
Thanks again for visiting.
Have a good week.

Meet Jake - Prima BAP November
Welcome to my blog today and thank you for visiting. I hope your week is going well so far.
Unfortunately I didn't make it to the Embellish It Crop on Saturday due to a dose of the flu but I did manage to do a page at home over the weekend although not this one (I will share that another time). I have had the Prima Delight papers sitting on my desk for a few weeks now so just had to use them for this month's Prima BAP for November. I was also keen to get on to scrapping for new grandson, Jake's album so this special moment of meeting his Great Grandparents at age 4 weeks is the outcome of this page created earlier this week. .
I have also had these Prima resin items in my stash for a while so the time was right to use them.
I had a bit of a play with a mask, texture paste and Glimmer mist.
The Prima canvas alpha were perfect for the sticker flags.
This is definitely a 90% plus Prima Project. Non Prima used is the Donna Balzar template, Websters trim, a few little flowers and Glimmer mist and liquid pearls.
Prima Delight Papers, tags, and stickers and two flowers were used along with other Prima - canvas alpha, flower vine, roses and resin pieces. And here is the sketch.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this page and have the remainder of the collection on the table in anticipation of another page but the mojo is lacking after work when the tiredness takes over - hopefully the weekend will bring some creativity.
Well that is all for today. I would love to hear that you have visited by leaving a comment. Your visit and comments are truly appreciated.
Until next time....
