Birds on a Branch & True Romance

Thank  you for visiting today.  This month's challenge at Dusty Attic inspired this layout together with working with the lovely Kaisercraft 'True Romance' papers from Embellish It which I have been lucky enough to play with.

The sketch by Mistra Hoolahan

Here is my take.  I cropped the small photos out of the original photo  but edited the original photo thus creating the different colours.
Faithful, Dream and Adore 'True Romance papers were used to create this heritage layout together with the Specialty Sweet tags and some 'collections' pieces.  Added to this is some cotton lace, Dusty Attic 'Birds on a Branch' chippie which I have painted first with white dabber paint and then with a mix of Shimmerz, Silks and Luminaire paints and a mix of Dusty attic and Wild Orchid flowers.  Martha Stewart 'Swirling Lace punch was used for the outer border and 'Vintage Lace' for the inner border.  The middle distressed border is finished with liquid pearls.

The photo is one I received last week which I had not seen before.  It is of my DH's grandmother (Lucy), her sister and Mum (Great Grandmother whom we had never seen a photo of before).  As soon as I saw it I saw a scrap page coming on lol.

It is not too late to book in for the Embellish It Crop this Saturday by contacting Joanne.  If you cannot come for the whole day call in for a visit as Joanne will have the shop at the Highfield School Hall, Rimu Street, Timaru where all these lovely papers are available together with lots of other lovely goodies.

Also the Oamaru Crop is being held on Sunday.  Contact  Joanne  for details.

That is all for today.   Please leave me a comment to let me know you have visited.  Your comments are appreciated.

Until next time.....
