Hello and thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you have had a good weekend. I was lucky enough to have a long one as DH and I travelled to Auckland on Thursday to attend one of his concerts - this time Neil Young "Crazy Horse". When I agreed to go I thought okay - I like Neil Young's music however about three days prior to going he started started making comments like "It won't be his usual country music", "It could be his heavy stuff" etc. So off we went and YES it was his HEAVY stuff from the crazy time in his life and as I certainly wouldn't call myself a muso I hadn't done any research or had a knowledge of what the title "Crazy Horse" entailed. I have to say I struggled with quite a bit of it and my subconscious was saying "I am really looking forward to going to the Glen Miller Orchestra with Mum and Dad in June" (at least I will be able to relate to that lol). Anyhow he redeemed himself with the hour encore and an admiration of the stamina and guitar skills of the 67 year old legend. Most stayed to the bitter end (he played for 3 hours - finished about 11.40 p.m.) and it was like they didn't want to leave the stage they were enjoying it so much. DH was very pleased he went. We had a nice trip to Waiheke Island on Friday (first time we have been there) for the day and arrived home about 6.30 pm last night in time for a 21st - the last of DD#3's friends to turn 21.
Here is the card I made for the birthday girl. It was a large card 8x6 as the only dress form I could find was 7" high however that gave more room to play. The papers are Websters Pages and once again I have tried to make the best use of the patterned paper. Lace is a motif from my stash (sourced in Australia at a market). The dress form was plain packaged.
Flowers are mainly Wild Orchids
More trim from my stash.
The key is from Nic Howard's key collection and organza upcycled from a bouquet wrapping.
And below the inside from the remainder of the Websters Pages Paper and remainder of card. All in All one piece of pp and one cardstock.
I had a busy week on cards so still have some more to share at another time. I am all packed and ready to head to Finnabair's classes at Scrapping Patch on Wednesday so that will be my creativity for this week.
All the best for the coming week.
Until next time.....
