Prima Mistables Canvas

As promised, today I share my creation on a Prima Mistables canvas.  This cute little tot turned 2  a week ago and this photo was taken at her 'Wiggles' party.  She looked very cute in her pink and black.

The photos are the only paper on the canvas with lace, beads, canvas and fabric flowers and canvas alpha providing the embellishments.  Firstly I experimented with white washing the canvas leaving the areas where the words are just white washed and glimmer misting the remainder.  I sewed the border and bottom black lace  on, mounted the larger photo on canvas and sewed around it.  The smaller photo was stitched directly onto the canvas but then the lace frame was glued on with Helmar 450 glue as were the other fabric flowers and laces.  The string of  beads were hand stitched on.

Unfortunately I did not have a suitable flower so ended up making some with flocked organza.  The shapes for the one on the right were cut out using a Tim Holtz die and cuttlebug, layered with tulle and twisted together with some bright pink stamens and hand stitched to hold it all together.
These cute little butterflies were bought at a market in Australia a couple of years ago.  For now I have hung the canvas on an embroidery hanger in my scrap room.

The Prima Mistables canvases are available from Embellish It.  Speaking of Embellish It, Tania is holding a crop in Timaru next Saturday 30 April - see Embellish It  website for more information on upcoming crops.

Thank you for visiting and for the comments on my recent roll of postings.

Until next time.....
Dianne
