This weekend I taught my very first class at the Embellish It Raincliff Scrap Camp. I taught a Heritage Layout class and had ten willing participants. It was fun and following feedback everyone seemed pleased with their final layouts.
The class in action below (that's Joanne of Embellish It to the right)
It was a busy class but we had to stop half way for morning tea as we had all seen Joanne's daughter Christey making her delicious cupcakes which were fully decorated with icing little flowers. (unfortunately I didn't think to take a photo but am sure someone would have).
While there wasn't time during the class, I had put together some mini card kits that can be made with the left over papers as a bonus for attending my first class.
I hope you are enjoying putting these little cards together. Let me know how you get on.
After the class my S-I-L and I popped down the road to a 1-yr old birthday party and arrived in time for the cake cutting. Then back at camp I joined Becks 'Boy Class' where she guaranteed we would do two layouts and two cards in two hours. Well TWO people did it with everyone else not far behind. Well done Becks!!! Joanne's and mine went a bit over time. I had anticipated three hours but it was nearer four however there was a lot of technique and detail.
The weekend was a huge success and we were well catered for by Sean, Steve and Christey with delicious food and fun announcements of - "Hi-de-hi Scrapbookers, dinner is served" well received by the campers. There was some wonderful inspirational creations and the marathon scrapper created 43 pages for the weekend.
I managed to create three layouts of my dear little GS besides the classes so will share them another time. Now I have to go and unpack. Yesterday was the first time ever that I haven't unpacked and cleaned my scrap room on the day but I was totally exhausted having gone to camp exhausted in the first place. I had to come home and have a nap.
Well that's it for tonight. Thank you for visiting my blog today, on my 200th post so blogger tells me. Who would have thought? Keep the comments coming to keep me motivated.......
Right off to have a huge sort out.
Until next time......
