Recipe Challenge

A bit of trivial information - this is my 150th Blog Post - have I really had that many creations to blog about?

I have been struggling to find time to scrap between visitors and work etc however yesterday I was determined to get something done by the end of the month - Paper Chase or Prima were on the table and Paper Chase's January Challenge it was as it came together.  I now have an idea for the Prima BAP but unfortunately time has run out - maybe it will fit in for next month.

As soon as I saw the Paper Chase Challenge earlier in the month I knew what recipe I wanted to scrap.   It was one we found in my grandmother's recipe book while planning her eulogy back in 1998 and it just fitted her perfectly.

The Papers are from a K & Company paper pad that I have had for ages.  I cut the flowers from a 2nd piece of paper and raised them with mounting foam.
Two small squares were punched to create the frame with Wild Orchid Craft flowers and pearl pin are added to the corner. The bling heart is Prima.
The recipe card base was a free image from the computer and is framed with a Dusty Attic frame finished with Glimmer Mist.
The flags are also Dusty Attic, alpha American Crafts.  Not sure the brand of the fabric rose strip - purchased off a roll last year in Australia.  The crocheted doily is from an op shop (Gran crocheted beautiful doilies so they always remind me of her).

. The buttons are old op shop ones.
The clock face is Tim Holtz and it is bordered with liquid pearls.

This is the Paper Chase sketch.  I am pleased with the way it came together and it was nice to do another heritage page - still my favourites.

Well it's bed time and tomorrow will no doubt be another busy day at work, (and it is supposed to be another very hot one in the high 20's)  so must away.  Thanks so much for visiting today.

Until next time .....

Dianne
