Another month is almost over and I am pleased it is Friday after another busy week. This week I have managed to create a layout for the Dusty Attic March Challenge. I have used the Dusty Attic Floral Frame Set DA0576 for my take on the March DA Sketch.
Papers are Tim Holtz.
The frame was inked and glimmer misted and then the flower bits dipped in embossing powder and embossed. They are not perfect but don't really need to be. As there was one too many flowers covering the image I cut it off and soaked it to divide into three flowers then used them as a mask to spray the diagonal corners.
The chain is from a broken necklace. Cardstock was embossed and sanded to reveal the swirl pattern.
The large fabric flower is one I made whilst playing around with the Sizzix dies and heat gun. It sort of goes with the tulle on one of the images.
I soaked the tip of this flower and divided it into three without detaching to give a little more dimension (although this photo is not the best of it. The layout contains recycled stuff from an old hen which I dismantled. The mesh wire is from the wings and rope coils from the breast part of the hen. The closeup photo reveals that I run out of bobbin cotton when sewing however it doesn't really matter (adds more dimension lol)
While the frame looks quite black on here it is more a plummy black in real life.
Well that is it for today. I am off to plan a Prima BAP Challenge layout which I hope to get completed sometime tomorrow. Talk about cutting it fine.
Thank you for visiting. Have a great weekend.
Bye for now

Good Morning and Cards
I couldn't sleep so got up early however after catching up on Google Reader time is marching on.
Today I will share some closeups of a card made in the weekend and sent yesterday as well as the completed raffle package.
and the Raffle
Below the mini cards created by cutting a 6x4 card in half and using bits and pieces from the offcut box as well as a couple of flowers. These papers were BoBunny left overs.
Well better go and get organised for the day ahead. Had a 12 hour day yesterday. Thanks for visiting my blog today.
Have a great day.
Dianne
PS - I forgot I was going to enter the butterfly 'Get Well' card in the Wild Orchid Challenge Week # 45 Bingo where three things in a row had to be included on the card/project. I chose the diagonal mix of Gems, Flowers, Ribbons & Lace.

Back from Raincliff
I have just had a fantastic weekend at Embellish It Raincliff Autumn Scrap Camp. As usual it was great to catch up with everyone and be inspired by the wonderful creations made while there. Tania had everything well organised. Thanks to Kirsten and Tania we were all well fed. It was a very industrious weekend and I created 6 cards and 5 layouts at camp which made me eligible to enter the lucky draw for the 'Busiest Scrapper' and I was lucky enough to win. The weather was perfect until we were packing up when a thunder and lightning storm arrived.
Arriving home, still on a roll, I proceeded to clean out my scrap room before putting everything back. Once that was done a photo was taken of the weekend's creations and then back into it to do the layout I had started just before lunch - now complete along with another two mini cards and covering a box. I have been in my element doing what I love. However I MUST GO TO BED.
In the middle is the lovely prize pack from Embellish It of BoBunny paper and embellishments.
It is my turn to take a raffle to work this week so I have done a pack of cards and some delicious fudge from The Real good Fudge Company and available at Lazy Cat Pottery in Oamaru. We got to sample it at Scrap Camp and it is very nice.
These are two of the cards in the pack and I have just realised I forgot to take a photo of the mini ones before packaging them up.
I have used the Prima Botanical Collection for the above cards.
I will be back with some more closeups, when I have taken better photos, of the weekend's creations. For now it is time to catch up on some sleep.
Have a great week everyone and thanks for visiting.

Thinking of You
A couple of weeks ago a relative passed on. We were unable to attend the funeral so I made these for some family members.
The stamp was purchased at a fair for 50 cents and is the first time I had used it. The pp's are Prima Botanical Collection and previously I have struggled with these but was very happy with the outcome this time.
Flowers above are Wild Orchids.
I found the lace for this card at a Vintage Market on my last trip to Dunedin and just love it.
The hydrangea flowers are Petaloo. Pearls are liquid pearls
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
Until next time...

St Patrick's Day
Hello there. It's been a couple of weeks since my last post - just not enough hours in the day during that time. I have been busy getting as many pages as possible done for DD#1's album which I gave her on Saturday for her 30th birthday (hard to believe I have daughter who is now 30). A St Patrick's Day themed celebration was held at her home on Saturday night so there was also a busy time preparing for that and I am most grateful to a wonderful "Fairy God Mother " (Rachel) who came to the rescue with making a beautiful celebration cake and cupcakes.
The cake looked more stunning than the photo gives it justice. It had pale green edible glitter over it and sparkled. Unfortunately the photos were taken with a flash and not in good light. It had also travelled from Timaru to Port Chalmers. Thank you so much Rachel.
The birthday girl. And below the Rachel's amazing icing skills with the rosettes on the cupcakes..
and below my very amateur attempt to put four leafed shamrocks on the chocolate elcairs all done in a bit of a rush but in the spirit of the theme.
The Birthday card created with BoBunny papers, Kaiser dress form & paper flower, Websters butterfly and heart, Prima flower.
The little white flower is off a flower arrangement from when DD#1 was born. Lace is Wild Orchids and pleated ribbon from Embellish It.
And the present containing two ring binder scrapped albums. Perhaps not the most elegant storage solution but hopefully it will keep the albums in good condition as they can stand up and there is enough room for another album so really it is a work in progress.

This week will be spent getting sorted for this weekend - the Embellish It Retreat at Raincliff. I am really looking forward to the weekend and catching up with everyone. I hope to get lots done so do really need to be organised.
I hope you all have a great week. I will try and return with some of the album pages and some recent cards. Right now it is bed time to catch up on some sleep.
Take care.
Until next time...

Birthday Card
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I had a lovely visit to see my Grandson, calling in at the Embellish It Oamaru crop on the way. It was great to catch up on everyone again.
It was an early start to Friday morning as our school had a Fair in the weekend and the challenge had been put out to staff & PTA to create a cake for the cake walk. I made it Thursday night and ended up getting up at 5.45 a.m. to ice it. The effort was worth it - I was the lucky winner. I made a clown cake but forgot to take a photo of it it the rush to get it packaged and be at work on time. Friday night was my Dad's birthday so 22 of the family got together for tea.
Here is Dad's card - sort of shabby vintage. Thanks to Jo and Rachel for the clock face.
Thanks for visiting.
All the best for the week ahead. Until next time...
